How Do I Uninstall Unwanted Software?

If you’ve ever installed any kind of software onto your computer, it’s important to remember that no matter whether you still use that software or not, it is still occupying space on your computer. One or two of these installed programs will not make a great difference, but if many programs build up over a number of years, they could take up enough space to slow your computer down. It is important to learn to uninstall programs and software which you have no more use for.

To uninstall a program is a very simple but useful process. To begin, click the Start button and select Control Panel from the menu. Select the programs icon, and then select Programs and Features.

A list of all the programs installed on your computer will appear, you should be able to see how large the files are as well as when they were installed. If there are any programs you feel have become unnecessary, select the program and the click the Uninstall option. Repeat this process for any programs you feel  you do not need.
