In yet another attack on torrent websites, users of the popular found they couldn't access the website yesterday. As it turns out, the UK-based Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit (PIPCU) had successfully taken the website offline by having its domain suspended. This originally hit UK computers, but it didn't take long for users all over the world to report that was missing in action.

Luckily for its huge audience, is back online as off today. Its Poland-based domain registrar reinstated it after the website's legal team argued that the takedown was "unlawful." In the meantime, Torrentz is also usable on two further domains based in Switzerland and Montenegro.
