Sony has made strides in its mission to launch the PlayStation 4 in China, having launched a joint-venture with a Chinese company. Shanghai Oriental Pearl Culture Development (OPCD) has partnered with the tech giant to introduce the PlayStation to the country, with the launch date yet to be announced. Given that rivals Microsoft are set to release the Xbox One in China in September, Sony may very well try to stick its oar in first.

This freedom on devices follows the Chinese government's reversal of a 13-year block on gaming consoles on Chinese soils, something both companies are taking advantage of very enthusiastically.
