While we've heard plenty about the smartwatches that are supposed to be hitting the market - Apple's rumored iWatch, the long-awaited Microsoft smartwatch, et al - currently available smartwatches have not exactly started any fires. Samsung's Galaxy Gear, for example, has failed to make a splash so much as a ripple. Nevertheless, the Korean tech giant has ideas for the smartwatch of the future. A "watchphone" is rumored to be in the works, with the Tizen-based device supposedly capable of making calls, sending messages, and taking photos - all the while including a GPS, heart rate monitor, and other tech capabilities. Samsung is said to be announcing the device in June or July, and has already discussed the idea with several U.S. carriers.
