Sony's PlayStation 4 has continued to conquer the top spot for hardware sales, something it has occupied since its release in November 2013. In second place is Microsoft's Xbox One, which the company announced it had sold 258,000 of last month. While we don't know Sony's official numbers, it certainly beats that.
It seems this will be the trend for both consoles, and numbers are only set to go up with the release of more and more compatible software. Nintendo has also pushed its way into the competition - without confirming statistics, the company claimed that the release of Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze boosted Wii U sales by 25 per cent compared to this time last year. While it may look like Microsoft will always play second fiddle to Sony, the upcoming, much-anticipated release of Titanfall (developed by the minds behind Call of Duty) should give the company a signifcant boost.
