Smartwatches seem to be all the rage right now, with Samsung and Sony having launched their two respectively this month. Another brand bringing a new smartwatch to the game is car manufacturer Nissan, who unveiled the concept design for their future device – called the Nismo – at the Frankfurt Motor Show in mid-September. The Nismo is said to be ‘the world’s first smartwatch to connect a driver to the car and provide them with real-time biometric data’.

Showing off a clean, stylish interface, the Nismo is designed to add to the experience of owning a Nissan vehicle. The smartwatch is capable of keeping the driver updated on the speed they’re going at or the level of fuel their car is at – more than that, it is able to give feedback about things like the user’s heart rate, as well as traffic conditions and weather conditions, and (of course) maintain the driver’s social media accounts.

The Nismo is in the works at the moment. Have a look at the concept video here.
