There are only a few short days left to go before smartphone maker Samsung unveils its next flagship phone to the world, but that hasn’t calmed the flurry of rumors and speculations surrounding the release. The latest reports are some of the most interesting so far, claiming that the Galaxy S5 will be both waterproof and dustproof.
Even if you have never personally lost a smartphone to a swimming pool or bucket of water, you can probably still agree that the substance which covers over 70% of our planet is not phone-friendly. Although Samsung has never offered a waterproof phone before, its current flagship phone does have a spin-off model, the Galaxy S4 Active, which is water-resistant and is also dust-tight.
According to released details about the Galaxy S5, the phone will have a massive, 5.2 inch super-high resolution screen, packing an impressive 560 pixels per inch. Whatever the smartphone turns out to be like, we don’t have long to wait; Samsung will reveal its latest creation to the world at the Mobile World Congress next week in Barcelona.
