Microsoft's 'Project Siena' allows anyone to create Windows 8.1 apps

Microsoft has launched "Project Siena", a Windows 8.1 app that allows anyone to easily create their own Windows app. The easy tool is designed to make app-building simple for anyone lacking programming skills. Siena is built to create apps that are mostly visual, using a canvas for inserting images, buttons, shapes, videos and more. The app is capable of embedding data sources from Excel, Azure, RSS annd more. While the app is fairly basic, there is a lot of control over fonts, color and other visuals. Although potential developers won't get the full feel of a normal app-building tool, Siena makes it possible to immediately publish any Windows 8.1 app created.
