Microsoft has plans to rename Nokia upon closure of its deal with the smartphone company, if a leaker letter is to be believed. The letter, which went out to Microsoft suppliers, stated that "upon the close of the transaction between Microsoft and Nokia, the name of Nokia Corporation/Nokia Oyj will be changed to Microsoft Mobile Oy." Microsoft have yet to comment on the leaked details.

Microsoft and Nokia first announced its deal in September, with plans for the $7.2 billion acquistion to close by the end of Q1 this year. However, a delay in global antitrust reviews have put the deal on the backburner, with Microsoft awaiting approval from Asia to go ahead. The deal should close by the end of this month.
