Software giant Microsoft is currently in talks with soccer titans Real Madrid to secure naming rights for their stadum. The Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, commonly known as the Bernabéu, is one of the most famous sporting arenas in the world, and a partnership with Real would be a huge step forward for Microsoft. It has been reported that Bill Gates himself is negotiating the deal, while club president Florentino Perez is said to be reluctant to make a decision until mid-2014.

Real Madrid would join top clubs like Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Arsenal in signing over their naming rights to a sponsor. As previously stated this would be a major deal for Microsoft, who would gain massive brand recognition from being associated with high-profile stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. Real Madrid themselves are heavily in debt at the moment and would do well to opt for a lucrative deal like this one.
