Meet Cloak, the app designed for the socially awkward

If you're prone to exiting, stage right, from any social situation, then this app might be the best thing ever. New app Cloak is designed to apply the same "incognito mode" that you get through your browser to real life. Cloak works by gathering location data from your Foursquare and Instagram accounts to compile a map showing where all your friends are currently situated. By monitoring their location, you can actively avoid seeing them. The app even fades out people's locations four hours after their initial check-in, if they haven't had any activity since.

So breathe a sigh of relief, and go and get that coffee without a dose of awkward small talk. Life just got easier for the socially awkward.
