At the moment, the Finnish-made Jolla smartphone is only being sold in its home country, and through one carrier. Yet with even those restrictions, Jolla has already managed to beat both the iPhone 5S and 5C to a top spot. In DNA's top 10 list of best-selling smartphones the Jolla occupies fifth place, while the 5S sits just behind it and the 5C in eighth. Jolla is also the top-selling smartphone retailing at over $400.
Jolla emerged from the ashes of the Nokia team that created the Linux-based Nokia N9. Its focus is on its own OS, while also incorporating some Android features - without relying too heavily on the Google-created software, that is.
