Facebook Paper is a New Way to Browse the News

On February 3rd, Facebook’s new app will make browsing through status updated and news even easier (and prettier) than ever. With a stunning magazine-style user interface and featuring news from around the world along side latest updates from your friends, Facebook Paper will keep you in the know.

Although they’ve released a number of tantalizing preview images, Facebook have yet to explain exactly how Paper will work. What is clear from the previews is that the app will be a little bit different from the mobile Facebook many of us have grown used to. While the bottom half of the Facebook Paper screen is dedicated to your friends updates and posts, the top half of the screen will feature news items which you can browse through by swiping horizontally.

Facebook Paper’s innovative top headline section will bring users news from CNN, The New York Times, and a host of other customizable news sources. Users will be able to select interests to appear in their top feed, browsing through categories such as Food, Photography and Headlines.
