Popular cloud storage service Dropbox has announced the appointment of several new executives, including one-time Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. Along with a new CFO and new COO, Rice will be sitting on the board of the company. The former politician is no stranger to Dropbox: RiceHadleyGates, her firm, has been an active advisor to Dropbox for some time. With Rice on board, Dropbox can now expand more in an international sense - Rice's experience within the Bush administration can lend itself enormously to the company, which has found itself blocked by certain foreign governments (China, for example). In a market as competitive as the one Dropbox is part of, this sort of stance will set it apart from its rivals.
