Bacon-Scented Smartphone Alarm Up for Grabs

It’s time to wake up and smell the... bacon?! That’s the idea behind a bizarre new device-cum-marketing-scheme from Oscar Mayer. A limited-edition bacon-scented alarm that attaches to your iPhone will be sizzling its way to lucky competition winners later this year.

This tantalizing contest is being hosted being hosted by the Oscar Mayer Institute for the Advancement of Bacon, which I have never heard of before but now desperately want to visit. The scented alarms won’t be available to the public, so entering the contest is the only way to get your hands on the bacon-y goodness.

The alarm comes partnered with an app (which is available to the public) which wakes you up in the morning with the tempting sound of sizzling bacon. You may wake up to find yourself bacon-less and disappointed, but that’s probably the entire point.

To get the chance at winning one of the coveted bacon-scented dongles, you can visit Oscar Mayer’s website  and test your dedication to bacon.
