If you're a Windows Phone user and looking to download WhatsApp, you may need to hold your horses for a while. Last week the app quietly disappeared from the app store, following some technical errors hounding the Windows Phone-version of the app. While users who already have the app are still able to use it, others simply can't download WhatsApp anymore.

Microsoft Research launches game to teach programing

Microsoft's Research division today launched Code Hunt, a browser-based game aimed to teach anyone how to code. The premise of the game is pretty simple: in order to advance to different levels, you have to write code. The inbuilt tutorial specifies that the 'code hunters' (i.e. users) "have been sent into a top-secret computer system to find, restore, and capture as many code fragments as possible." You can now text 911

In a reasonably more popular move than this one, the FCC have announced that people will not be able to send texts, videos and photos to 911 in the event of an emergency. The service is live right now across four networks, these being AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile, but only in select counties within a handful of states.
