Apple sued over missing iMessages

A California woman has taken out a lawsuit against Apple owing to missing text messages, after giving up her iPhone for an Android. The woman claims that "countless" texts didn't reach her following the change. Adrienne Moore has alleged that Apple is violating her wireless contract, and that there was no warning about this issue, even though the company is well-aware of it.

100 hackers arrested over Blackshades malware

In a massive operation that covered four continents and involved a number of law enforcement agencies, 100 people have been arrested owing to their use of a "remote administration tool" called Blackshades. The FBI-led operation saw raids throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and North America. This comes in the wake of a similar operation in 2012 that had resulted in 20 arrests, including the tool's alleged leader coder, Michael Hogue. Despite Hogue's arrest, Symantec still reported a rise in Blackshades-related attacks and infections through 2013.

Facebook introducing new Ask button

Facebook has decided it wants to save you some social awkwardness through the introduction of its new feature. A new button added to profile settings will allow you to ask your friends their nature of their relationship status, if they've left it blank. You can include a personal note with your request, as well as include your own relationship status along with it. This comes along with a set of other ask features, including requests for information about users' hometowns, addresses, phone numbers, emails and more.

Apple and Google announce ceasefire

Tech giants Apple and Google have jointly announced that they will be giving up any ongoing lawsuits aimed at each other, and will instead be working together to help push patent reform forward. This will see 20 current lawsuits being dismissed, these based on anything from cloud storage to productivity tools.
