Google Glass reportedly only costs $150 to build

Research company IHS Inc have discovered that Google's famed wearable only costs $150. Considering you're expected to shell out ten times the amount for Glass, that's quite a signficant difference. According to IHS, the frame supporting Glass is the most expensive, and is valued at a mere $22. Hot on its heels is the square glass lens, at $20. 1 billion people use the Gmail Android app

Gmail has just been confirmed to be the largest Web-based email service in the world. According to Android Police, Gmail's Android app has reached the one billion download mark on the Google Play Store. Flappy Bird to take to the skies once more

The creator of the hugely addictive, yet short-lived Flappy Bird has announced that his tiny bird will be flapping its wings once again. Flappy Bird's sequel will be launched on Apple's App Store in August, with a new multiplayer mode. Nguyen has also talked about how the original became excessively addictive, and how he would prefer it if people spent their time on something more productive than Flappy Bird. With this in mind, he claims Flappy Bird take 2 has "less addictive" qualities, although it is unclear as to how he'll achieve that.

WhatsApp ousted by Snapchat in U.S.

Snapchat's recent troubles don't seem to be, well, troubling its users much. The app is now the third-biggest messaging app in the U.S., according to a new report by network specialist company Sandvine.
