What is hkcmd.exe doing on my computer?

The process hkcmd is linked to Intel chipset graphic drivers. Intel makes use of a hot-key command module which is generally installed via a motherboard driver. It is suggested not to terminate hkcmd.exe manually, even if you have never set functions on the computer.
Non-system processes like hkcmd.exe originate from software you installed on your system. In Windows Task Manager, you can see what CPU, memory, disk and network utilization is causing the Intel Hotkey process. To access the Task Manager, hold down the Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys at the same time. These three buttons are located on the far left of your keyboard.
